The meeting, where the Police and Crime Commissioner holds Warwickshire Police Chief Constable Andy Parker publicly to account, was held in Atherstone last night, and future meetings will be held at other locations around the county.

He said: “We had more than 20 members of public in the room, and we piloted live streaming the meeting on the internet and more than 70 people watched online. We even had questions coming in on Twitter, including one from a North Warwickshire resident who is on holiday in Egypt!

“I was extremely please with the meeting format, allowing people to ask any question they wanted of us for the first half an hour of the meeting.”
